“Dry Healing” Instructions
Please follow these healing instructions, as this is the only way I can guarantee a smooth healing process. Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns during healing. Thank you!
1. Please wash the petroleum jelly off of your tattoo within 1-3 hours of leaving the studio.
Wash it with Dial Anti Bacterial Soap and blot it dry.
2. For 3 weeks- You will wash your tattoo with Dial Anti Bacterial Soap in the morning & night, and to your best judgment in cases of pet licks/ kids hands/ dirty public objects that may touch your *pretty wound*. Pat your tattoo dry- DO NOT exfoliate/ rub/ scratch/ pick your tattoo.
3. For 3 weeks- You will apply very light layers of lotion on your tattoo once your second skin is off. (Less is more!) Please do not use any petroleum jellies or aquaphor or natural oil based “tattoo healing balms/oils”, as these products only act as a barrier vs moisturizing the skin like lotion does. I advise using nothing other than unscented lotion due to the fact that petroleum jellies like aquaphor and A&D/ oils and balms will make your scabs very soft, making it more likely for them to get ripped off by closing, causing fall out/fading of your tattoo.
